Our opinion is not just that financial ‘reporting’ should be packaged but that all the surrounding requirements of drill-down, live reporting and so forth should also be a part of that package. Unfortunately, EBS does not provide all the required functionality, which means that you must consider additional products to augment EBS so that you can build a complete solution. This paper considers different approaches to this augmentation, with considerations such as time to value, as well as total cost of ownership and functionality, being uppermost in our minds.
